I am working on installing some rails for my panels . I have a kit supplied to solar installers that includes some specialised pieces that seem to be designed to bite into both sides to make electrical contact certain. Problem is just how to use them ? Or rather where? Here are some shots of them in various positions and I wonder which is the right configuration?Perhaps they go on the other nut between rail and bracket? None of the positions in these photos look right . Logic is telling me they go on the top bolt between rail and bracket. They would fit sizewise then and the raised sides would fit over the rail sides but !! The rail and the bracket have grooves in each which seem to be designed to interlock . This insert would mess that up . I need to get a shot of the other side of the bracket and of the rail sides.-Tomorrow Clearly the long screw is designed to be insulated between shed and rail. Brand name? I do not think they belong on the roofing screw.

dennis461 Brand Name. You are correct the screws would not have anything on them. I ment the Brand Name of the kit? I Have bought Sunforce, Irontron and Thunderbolt solar kits. I ment to say I do not uses their mounting kits or brackets that come with the kit. they just seem to weak to me.
I Glue with silicon adhesive and Screw a long plank of the composite Grey Wood down and run a rail of that wood. I am looking at your Avitar Pic it looks like you already have a good idea.
I will post a photo later. But your photo looks better
