If I have to live in a house only for a couple of years then which option should I choose? Will installing rooftop solar panels worth the cost and increase value of the house? Or I should go for off grid solutions and move on. On average, How much value get added to house if we install rooftop solar panels on houses?

In my opinion, if you will be in a house for two years, you should not install any solar system. The pay back period for my system is approximately 8 years. As for adding value to a house, I'll bet it actually could reduce the value. The potential buyers will most certainly tell the realtor it is an eyesore, and want to pay less for the house. A grid tied system (in the USA) will have transfer of ownership issue to deal with.

I am with dennis461 on this. Renting buying for 2 years. Dont do it If you do the cost savings wont be worth it.Some of the folks here could guide you on to a solar generator. You could take with you. It Wont add cash value to your two year dwelling. But Put on the right size trailer it could be portable enough to take with you.
I know some of the Members here have made them. Good luck
