I am designing a solar powered application to power 5 LED light bulbs (8W each) for 6 hours/day with battery backup for 2 days. Expecting an average of 6 hours of sun light a day to power the solar panels and recharge the battery daily.
Running my calculations I have concluded that I will need
1. 120AH 12V battery - AGM
2. 100W sine wave inverter 12VDC to 220VAC
3. MPPT programmable charge controler
4. 1 (one) 200W solar panel
Looking to keep the size of the equipment small and cost low, I have been looking for a solution and found that there are inverters with built-in MPPT chargers.
Can any one give me a recommendation? Is there anything that you can advise on the design?

Hi Wire it up like a car Go to 12 volts only and since its Lights only you will save a bundle. The Inverter and MPPT are over kill. I am going to go out on a limb. Want to keep it simple here is what I did. There is a company that makes LED Lights that use 0.4 amps and produce 510 Lumins of light .My system that runs lights only uses these. I dont uses the expensive CC. I found I can uses a 30 AMP PMW CC not expensive at all. about 28 to 30 bucks. The Inverter wont be needed in the 12 volt world. Here is how mine is set up. Panels all HF NT or Irontron all from kits but your one 200 watt panel should be fine.It has more watts than all of my kits combined Two Six Volt Golf car batteries wird to 12 volt 108 amp hours. Cost saving tip for testing Check you local areas for places that rebuild batteries. They will be a lot less expensive. PWM CC around 29 bucks cheep. You can find the lower Craigslist ect... I am not sure if Admin here lets up post product names or not. I will take a gamble and post links. CC www.amazon.com/Sun-YOBA-Solar-Controller-Charge/dp/B00MM17BJ8/ref=sr_1_4?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1485215224&sr=1-4&keywords=30a+pwm+charge+controllerBatteries New ones Sams Club is best bet Golf Cart 6 Volt x 2 .Rebuilts will be easer on your wallet, Lights Hands down www.commandelectronics.com/new-products/led-upgrade-for-bayonet-style-interior-lightsI have lit up a 4000 square foot farm with this. I will post a pic of the lights later. diysolarenergyforum.freeforums.net/attachment/download/14
