Hello Folks. I have just over 9 years on my old Battery Bank and it is Time for new Batteries 8 or 10 of them ( am expanding for Air Conditioning ). The SC 6 volt GC batteries have served me well. But its time to let them go. My question for the Old Timers if there are any still around. Ray?Johann? Has anyone found a cost effective alternative to the SC 6 Volt GC Bats?? Are there any Reasonable AGM alternatives that dont break the bank. I am leaning Hard to the SC 6 Volt GC,( The Maintenance is the Issue I'm just getting old )However just throwing a question out before I pull the trigger. Any Advice is appreciated.

There is a forum I follow, trektraxs.com that has interesting informed solar adopters. It is a RV site where some of the people have outfitted their RV's with substantial solar and installed 12 volt mini split AC units. They are using LiFePo batteries they built themselves and are very happy with the savings and results. If you go to the site look under the heading Electricity Sources. The last battery topic was Feb 17 "ReLion Battery Biggest Sale of the Year". There are lots of other earlier posts discussing the different solar set ups some members have put together, including those with Golf Cart Batteries also.
